Our Team

Obet Montalvo is a digital strategist and photographer based in Houston, Texas. He got his start volunteering on electoral campaigns in college following the election of Donald Trump. Since then he’s worked across the American South and Southwest, learning the ropes doing everything from managing traditional organizing programs, Latinx coalition-building, to digital organizing.

Since then, he’s built and managed robust digital programs for statewide electoral campaigns as well as national organizations, while forging partnerships with notable people and organizations in both media and the political space. He’s overseen in-house email programs, managed and created websites, designed visual identities for all kinds of entities, and led several paid media campaigns in English and Spanish.

Obet is passionate about doing good work and expanding the economic and political power of marginalized peoples. When he is not working on this, he is taking pictures, cooking Mexican food, or trying to be active while avoiding the Texas heat.
